Several days ago, Unit 4 participated on a mission in the city of Sanctity, on a matter related to the evolution issue that Commander Suguru spoke about several days ago. While we were there, we were attacked in the middle of an audience with Sanctity's Leaders.

This individual, a Mugendramon, is apparently a member of the Dark Area army, and the same digimon as the MetalTyrannomon who led the riot in Tetha several weeks ago. Despite his level, we were able to devolve him. Unfortunately, he utilized a space time jumper before we were able to capture him.

Afterwards... I spoke to ClavisAngemon and Valkyrimon. They saw our success as proof that we could protect the item they had in their possession, and turned it over to us with their blessing. It is now secure here at the Royal Base.

The mission's success is due in no small part to the actions of my subordinates, who ultimately contributed our success in a greater capacity than I did. I recommend that Nanami, Junpei, Izumi, Kouki, Jess, Kouichi, and Relena all be put in for commendations.

We were also assisted by a second party, but... I have chosen to allow them to disclose their involvement on their own.

Today, a Bio Hybrid appeared in the Royal Base courtyard. He evolved himself into a BomberNanimon, and then detonated himself. Then, at least one Tamer was taken captive by Kurata's soldiers. DATS secondary member Rena Lanford is currently missing.

The Bio Hybrid was one of our own: A secondary member known as Thomas Langdon. He joined DATS when we first got organized, but we lost contact with him relatively quickly. We now know that he was taken prisoner and brainwashed by Kurata.

What's more, we now know how this brainwashing occurs. The crux of it is a device that invades and substitutes the subject's memories and personality with one of Kurata's invention. What's more, this technology...

... It is derived from something I created. Back in our homeworld, I temporarily defected to Kurata's side as a means of deceiving him. However, while I was in his service, I created a device that allowed him to force his will over a digimon's. When I betrayed him, I destroyed the device, but...

... It seems he was able to derive his brainwashing technology from mine. The fundamental principles are the same. This is what has allowed him to turn Langdon against us, and presumably Izumi's mother, and possibly others...
