... Nanami, I don't have time to explain, but I need you to send Wormmon to Kouki's quarters right now. If she doesn't know the way, help her find it, but try to get back as fast as you can. I already made sure it was okay with him.
Someone... is going to be staying with us, and it'd be best if we kept her away from Digimon.
See you soon.
- Touma
((For the record? Touma has asked Kouki no such thing.))

... Everyone, I have asked the commanders to be allowed to report about today's events personally. This is because I feel personally responsible for what has transpired.
Today, a Bio Hybrid appeared in the Royal Base courtyard. He evolved himself into a BomberNanimon, and then detonated himself. Then, at least one Tamer was taken captive by Kurata's soldiers. DATS secondary member Rena Lanford is currently missing.
The Bio Hybrid was one of our own: A secondary member known as Thomas Langdon. He joined DATS when we first got organized, but we lost contact with him relatively quickly. We now know that he was taken prisoner and brainwashed by Kurata.
What's more, we now know how this brainwashing occurs. The crux of it is a device that invades and substitutes the subject's memories and personality with one of Kurata's invention. What's more, this technology...
... It is derived from something I created. Back in our homeworld, I temporarily defected to Kurata's side as a means of deceiving him. However, while I was in his service, I created a device that allowed him to force his will over a digimon's. When I betrayed him, I destroyed the device, but...
... It seems he was able to derive his brainwashing technology from mine. The fundamental principles are the same. This is what has allowed him to turn Langdon against us, and presumably Izumi's mother, and possibly others...
This concludes my report.

... This goes out to everyone in Unit 4.
I'm going to be involved in top secret meetings for the foreseeable future. I want you all to remain on standby, save for Nanami, who I would like to request as my personal consultant.
This by no means does not entail me telling you to sit around waiting for something to happen. Stay sharp, keep tabs on the search teams, and post leads if you arrive at them.
[locked to Kouki, Nanami, and Ivan]
I need you to both to give me reports of everything you know about Kurata. This isn't my order, this comes straight from Suguru.
And Ivan... if you have the time, there are two prisoners we'd like for you to assist in the interrogation of.

Happy birthday, Chika-chan. I'm afraid I'm too busy to treat you and your mother again, but I did however manage to get you two passes for Carnival Island.
They're good for the entire year. Feel free to use the second pass for a friend.

Commanders, Masaru and I discussed this some time ago, but given Masaru, Yuka, and Yoshino's recent encounter with Kurata's new Bio Hybrid form... I felt it important I bring it up to the group at large.
Does anyone else but us find it strange that Kurata has never been seen with a digimon partner? That seems to be a pre-requisite for all who enter this world, and yet, he has continued to rely on his Gizmon and Bio Hybrids... and has even apparently made alliances with the Dark Area.
There's the possibility that he's killed it, or abandoned it, but... I doubt Kurata would discard something he can use as a tool. Furthermore, there's a more disturbing possibility.
Some people here are bound to partners or digimon they are already connected with. Kurata was connected to our universe's version of Belphemon.
There may be a possibility that we may have to face an eighth Demon King in the future.

You know, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering this, but... why do you suppose that digimon without partners are appearing?
Two of them, almost at once, too. Seems kind of odd, doesn't it?

Ms. Mackenzie, Kouki? In regards to the recent discussion you had about how I, ahem, spend my free time?
It is, to be frank, none of your god damn business.

Suguru-san prompted me about this, and it seems sound enough an idea to ask about it.
With the inevitable conflict coming up, I would like to ask anyone with medical training to come forward. We're likely to have a number of wounded in the coming battle, and DATS, as it is now, does not have many medics.

Everyone, I would like to make a statement on the mysterious digimon that allegedly appeared in Neon City.
Assuming what everyone said is true, this digimon matches the description of what is known as a "Bio Hybrid." Bio Hybrids are humans who have been fused with the broken down data of a digimon. The Bio Hybrids we encountered in our universe were created by Kurata Akihiro... who I'm sure you all know by now.
Bio-Hybrids resemble their base species, but often have discoloration and augmented components attached to them. But we cannot be sure whether or not this supposed Pipismon is a Bio-Hybrid unless we can get an image of him.
Bio-Hybrids are usually more powerful than their standard counterparts, and can hide in plain sight as a human being. And if Kurata has the means to create one Bio-Hybrid, he likely has the capability to create more. Both Digimon AND humans are in danger, in this instance.

Nanami-san, Kouki, Ivan... I understand if the three of you are troubled by this news. For what its worth, I will protect your privacy and ensure that none of you will be outed as past Bio-Hybrids.

Commander Yushima, I trust you've seen Akira-san's post about what she saw in the Dead Zone, and how they are apparently taking Digimon and Tamers as prisoners.
There are some that believe we should go to Mordred, Murmuxmon's base, and deal with the matter. Attempt a rescue of sorts. But I'm concerned with the logistics of such an endeavor, as going up against an Ultimate - let alone an Ultimate with his own army - and trying to free a large number of people from a place like the Dead Zone seems like a very... monumental endeavor. What's more, if we were to act, it might end up causing an incident between the Royal Base and the Dead Zone.
I need your thoughts on the matter sir, as DATS assistance and honor has been called into question. I'm not saying we should abandon these people, but... Well, my concerns are noted.
Anyone else can feel free to chime in.

... To everyone at DATS.
I would like to apologize for my behavior several nights ago. I did some thinking, and I talked to... I talked to a friend. He set me straight on a number of things.
I don't want to leave this world. I understand that it needs us... all of us, to help protect it.
But at the same time, we have to be prepared for Yggdrasil. I suggest we look into trying to develop a technology that can allow us to leave after our job is done. And if there is something that requires our responsibility even after the defeat of the Demon Kings... then I believe we should remain even through that. But in the end, we deserve the right to develop the means.
...
In short, I'm not sure I can have faith that everything will turn out right. But what I do have is trust. I trust DATS. I trust my friends. I trust Gaomon. I have seen our ability to defeat insurmountable odds before.
I'm just sorry I forgot that so quickly.

... I used Sorcermon's device, everyone. I... I looked back home. I saw my sister.
She's healthier than I've ever seen her. It appears that whatever cured her carried over into that world.
I'm. I'm glad she's okay. Part of me wishes I was the one to save her, but in this case, this world gave me a gift.
And I'm prepared repay it, even if I have to die trying.

I can't believe... I can't believe I was so certain we'd go home. We had no evidence to go on, no reason to believe Yggdrasil would be so accommodating.
And Relena... what if whatever it was that cured her here isn't in effect back home? What if we're all stuck here and I can never help her?
...
Maybe it's time we started focusing on something else. No, I don't think we should give up on fighting the Demon Kings, but... We also never asked to be in this fight. Perhaps we should work on finding a way home as our next priority.
I know this sounds cowardly, but... what choice do we have? To accept that we may never see our loved ones again? In the end, we have to make a decision that benefits all us Tamers.

I just ask for everyone's patience.

... Relena and her partner are no longer here.
... This isn't very scientific, but... something tells me that she's back home again, with Labramon.
I hope whatever helped make her well here, carries over... But, I guess I can't really give up hope that her life will be changed for the better.

...I think there is a slight issue.
Master's mentality seems to be... regressing. He appears to be forgetting even the most basic of knowledge and at times even seems to think he's actually six years old.
This is problematic.

NOT FUNNY.
NOT FUNNY.
Well, the sudden appearance of these new devices is certainly new. Yet, not a cause for confusion.
The device is called a "D-Reader." It is interfaced, somehow, automatically with each of your D-Comms, able to interact with its journal and map functions. It also functions as a far more expanded database, able to hold an excessively larger amount of data than the D-Comm itself. It seems capable of using various programs and in general, acts as a miniature, personal computer.
Those are basic functions. The remainder - and likely the actual POINT of them - becomes a bit more complicated.
There is a function of this device called a Digi-Code Scanner. Effectively, and it sort of explains itself, it scans the data of objects and Digimon in the Digital World. It took a bit of actual field testing to confirm various aspects, but after activating the scanner, it takes about a full minute to read and decipher all the data of its subject. This allows you to use Code Transfer. This leads to two settings:
Digimon Natural Ability (we'll call it DNA for short) and Digimon Item. DNA is the abilities of a Digimon scanned, whereas Items are... well, that should be obvious. An item - such as, say, a sword used by Knightmon - of a Digimon.
By using DNA, your Partner Digimon can have the abilities of a scanned Digimon sent to them. However, there is a catch - any powers of a higher level Digimon are scaled down to the level of your partner. For instance, I scanned one of the Peckmon guards here in Tetha. Activating the DNA charge, Gaomon was able to use Peckmon's attack, "Kunai Bane." But the strength and overall potency of it wasn't anywhere close to an Adult-level's power.
Items work similarly. Only, there's a difference - when you select Digimon Item, you get two additional options, Realize Digimon or Realize Tamer Again using Knightmon as an example, say you scanned its weapon, Berserk Sword. You can then send that data to your partner, as with DNA, or alternatively, materialize it for your OWN usage, as the giant sword sitting next to me can attest to.
BOTH Digimon Natural Ability and Digimon Item's effects wear off and both abilities and items vanish after 30 minutes. They're also useless unless you have 100% scan data, which can be more difficult than one would think, especially for moving targets. After that, the data leaves your D-Reader permanently. You then have to scan the data over again, or - if you had the foresight to do so beforehand - you can keep a "stock" of items by scanning them multiple times. It'd just take awhile to accumulate that.
Beyond that, there are essential, Basic Realize Options. This includes one Digimon Natural Ability that is always there, Protect. It can produce an energy shield for you and your partner for up to 15 seconds. Basic Items that can be used at any time are Rations (two pieces of bone meat and a small amount of water), Survival Gear (a tent, blankets, and inflatable raft), and First Aid which I think should explain itself. These don't seem to disappear after usage, and appear to remain in the D-Reader at all times.
Lastly, there is Item Storage. Though I'm not certain on the exact limitations, it appears to be able to break down the data of various items you may have an store them. Should be convenient for travelers.
Basically, the long and short of it for certain people should be? You shoot the D-Reader at weapons and Digimon for a minute, and then you can use that Digimon's items, or your Digimon can use both the items or a scaled-to-their-level version of that scanned Digimon's attacks. Thus, allowing you to be even more capable in battles against certain opponents.
It's really quite simple.
((Simply just an IC explanation of the mod post on the main comm.))
A man has appeared in this Digital World named Kurata Akirhiro.
We have full reason to believe he's behind the attacks on Draco Island, and the deaths of the Digimon there.
He comes from our world - the one where DATS comes from, and where the likes of myself, Masaru, Yoshino-san, Ikuto, Satsuma-taichou, and others lived.
He is a madman. A lunatic who incited a genocidal war upon the Digital World, attempting the annihilation of all living Digimon. He also then attempted to fuse himself with the body of a Demon King in our world, Belphemon.
However, he is not to be written off as simply psychotic. He is highly intelligent, and has the ability to create weapons which can destroy a Digimon permanently. Meaning, no Digi-Egg comes after their death, and they are forever lost. Many friends were lost because of this.
These weapons are generally implemented in his "Gizmon," artificial Digimon made from raw materials of real Digimon. Known varieties are a Child-Level equivilant, Gizmon AT, the Adult-Level version, and Gizmon XT, the Perfect-Level one. Each has strength that is, typically, a step ahead of the level it parallels. IE, Gizmon AT can easily take on and defeat several Perfects, while XT requires a great deal of power - typically, that of the Ultimate level - to combat effectively. DATS have reason to believe that Gizmon are here, somewhere, in this world, now.
He has, also, in the past, implemented methods that allow humans to transform into artificial, "Bio Digimon" for his own twisted purposes.
Proceed with extreme caution. If you have seen this man, or see anything suspicious that could relate to him, please contact us immediately.
